The EPA is not Following the Law

Contact your local representatives urging the EPA to restore the demand for ND Agriculture economy.

[Senator Hoeven] [Senator Cramer] [Congressman Armstrong] [Governor Burgum],
I am writing to urge you to push the Trump Administration to swiftly restore biofuel demand lost due to the Environmental Protection Agency’s continued abuse of small refinery exemptions to fuel blending obligations of the Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS) approved by Congress.
As a [member of North Dakota’s business community] [city official], I am personally concerned about the severe impact the waivers had in deteriorating the economy for our state’s ethanol producers and corn farmers.  With additional exemptions approved recently, ethanol production facilities in other states have ceased operation or slowed down.
Most concerning is that North Dakota plants have grave concern with the economic viability of their facilities.  North Dakota ethanol plant shutdowns would have a significant impact on our [business] [community], on agriculture – our state’s number one industry, on my community and certainly our state.
Please contact President Trump to urge him to restore the biofuel demand promised in the RFS.  North Dakota communities are counting on your action.
Thank you.
