2019 Midwest AgEnergy Scholarship Winners
Underwood, ND – Midwest AgEnergy, the parent company to ethanol biorefineries Blue Flint, near Underwood, ND and Dakota Spirit near Spiritwood, ND is honored to announce it has awarded two, $1,000 scholarships to high school students pursuing higher education. Each student attended high school near each of the biorefineries.
The first recipient is Joseph Lauinger of Jamestown High School. Lauinger will attend North Dakota State University this fall.
The second recipient is Aaron Klain of Turtle Lake-Mercer High School near Underwood. Klain plans to attend North Dakota State University as well.
Applicants were asked to complete a series of essay questions related to their future goals and plans, and how those goals and aspirations will play a role, either directly or indirectly, in North Dakota’s ethanol and/or biofuels future.
The Midwest AgEnergy scholarships are awarded to promote the continuous growth of the energy and agricultural industries in North Dakota. This is the third year Midwest AgEnergy has awarded scholarships.
